What to Expect

If you’ve ever gone to a social event where you didn’t know anyone, you know how uncomfortable that can make you feel. Our goal is to eliminate every shred of apprehension and make you feel at home.

Since chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it’s important that our relationship can go the distance. We’ve found that one of the best ways to have successful patient relationships is to explain everything in advance. No surprises!

The more you understand who we are, what we do and why we do it, the better results you’ll enjoy. It’s as simple as that.

  • I’m glad I decided to visit Family First Chiropractic! I already feel better from my very first visit.

    -Julianne S.
  • Dr. Rob was able to treat my issue immediately and gave me some helpful guidance as to how to maintain my back issues.

    -Stephen B.
  • Thank you. I called for a new patient appointment and was in pain. The office went out of their way to accommodate me ASAP.

    -Nicole S.
  • I felt improvement after my first visit. I’m very optimistic that I will soon be pain free.

    -Alfred L.
  • Dr. Bishoff is a great listener, very knowledgeable, and great chiropractor! Highly recommend!

    -Cynthia K.
  • First adjustment was fantastic! I haven’t been to see a chiropractor in a few months. I’m glad I came in.

    -William I.

Your First Visit

Our friendly office staff is ready to greet you by name when you walk through our doors.

If you haven’t already filled out our New Patient form at home, you will be asked to complete it in our waiting room. We use this information to guide your course of care.

You will then be brought in for your consultation with the doctor. Dr. Rob or Dr. Donna will talk with you about your past and present health.

After discussing your health concerns, you will be given a complete chiropractic exam so that we may have an accurate assessment of your present state of health and how we can help you. Your exam consists of range of motion testing, orthopedic and neurological tests, pelvic balance scan, static and motion palpation, and other chiropractic analysis for the detection and correction of vertebral subluxation. Your chiropractic exam will also determine if any other diagnostic tests are necessary, such as x-rays or MRI. If any such testing is necessary, it would be scheduled at this time.

Your Second Visit

Your second visit is all about receiving your report of findings and getting your first adjustment.

Dr. Rob or Dr. Donna will go over the findings from your exam. Their recommendations for your care plan will come from these findings. The doctor will explain what a course of care will consist of specifically for you.

You will learn what to expect along your road to recovery. It is typically after your report of findings that you will receive your first adjustment!

Regular Visits

A typical visit usually requires just a few highly-focused minutes of time.

But don’t think the brevity of a regular visit lessens its value! With the groundwork laid, we can quickly size up what your spine and nervous system, adjust you and get you on your way.

Like a regular workout at the gym, each visit builds on the ones before. Miss a visit and we can lose the momentum necessary to make the needed changes. We recognize your time is valuable. We do everything possible to run on time and minimize the impact on your busy life.
